Joseph Bernardini is a board certified orthopedic surgeon practicing in his hometown of Vineland, N.J. for 29 years. He is a graduate of St. Augustine Preparatory School and Villanova University. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, voted one of the top ten Orthopaedic hospitals in the country, where he is past president of the Alumni Association and a current member of the Executive Council. His orthopedic residency was completed at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia with a special concentration on spine and hand surgery. Dr Bernardini is the founder of South Jersey Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Director of Orthopedics at the Vineland Developmental Center since 1979 and serves as the Vineland High School team physician. He is on the staff of both Vineland and Elmer divisions of South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center and is a member of their Joint Care Center. He is one of the first physicians in the area with special training at the Cleveland Clinic in 2001 for Kyphoplasty, an innovative and minimally invasive technique used to treat spinal compression fractures. Dr Bernardini has extensive experience in joint replacement and arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, fractures, carpal tunnel and all other areas of general orthopedics. He is a member of The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Cumberland County Medical Society, New Jersey Medical Society, Orthopedic Surgeons of New Jersey, Philadelphia Orthopedic Society and Eastern Orthopedic Society. He enjoys skiing, boating and flying and holds a private pilot’s license. |
